Name and shame powerful people behind illegal mining - Ken Ashigbey

The Convener of the Media Coalition Against Galamsey, Ken Ashigbey, says it is about time the media investigated to name and shame the so called powerful people behind illegal mining.

In a meeting with members of the Central Regional House of Chiefs, President Akufo-Addo told the Chiefs that government is aware of the involvement of some chiefs in illegal mining.
  
Reacting to this comment, Mr. Ashigbey indicated that apart from the Chiefs, some other people including MPs and even government appointees may also be involved.
