Post-election disturbance in Kenya leaves one dead


Kenya's Electoral Commission says it will look into allegations made by the opposition that hackers broke into its computer system and manipulated the results of yesterday's Presidential polls. 

The main opposition candidate Raila Odinga said massive fraud has been committed to suggest the incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta was ahead.

His comments followed the release of results from yesterday's election showing President Uhuru Kenyatta with a wide lead over Mr Odinga after votes from the vast majority of polling stations had been counted.

Following his pronouncement of alleged fraud, the police have clashed with supporters of Mr Odinga in an opposition stronghold in southwestern Kenya, killing 1 person.

A regional police commander said the shooting happened when protesters clashed with security forces in South Mugirango constituency in Kisii County.
