Nigerian, 23, remanded over human trafficking A 23 year old Nigerian woman, Happiness Obi, has been remanded into police custody for allegedly trafficking two Nigerian teenagers into Ghana for prostitution. The two are Bless Uche, 16 and Chinese Favour, 14. The accused person who is a hairdresser pleaded not guilty to the offense when she appeared before the Judge, Abena Oppong Adjin Doku. According to the prosecution, the victims arrived in Ghana on the 27th of last month, believing they will help the accused person sell provisions. They were confined at a hotel at Baatsona, where they engage men on streets and in night clubs. The prosecution said the oldest among the victims reported the ordeal to the Police which led to the rescue of the younger one at the hotel room and the accused was subsequently arrested.
