The Daily Heritage Describes the Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo-Maafo's comments on government's freeze on employment in the public sector as the painful truth. The paper says as long as Ghana continues to chase the Bretton Woods Institutions such as the World Bank with cup in hand, Ghanaians will continue to live under harsh conditionalities like the freeze on public sector employment.

The Daily Graphic is happy that the confusion that characterised the announcement of increased fees for the 2017/2018 academic year of tertiary institutions has been resolved. The Paper commends the National Council for Tertiary Education, for resolving the impasse between the Vice Chancellors of Ghana and the Chairman of Parliament's  Subsidiary Legislation Committee, Mahama Ayariga on the increment. It however, reminds the Vice-Chancellors that Ghana is governed by laws and that all fees, levies and charges in tertiary institutions must first go through parliament. To this end, the Graphic says the arbitrary charges by the Vice Chancellors of Ghana should never recur. 

The Ghanaian Times urges the people to be decent in the fight against illegal mining,also known as galamsey as it is a national exercise that majority of Ghanaians agreed must be carried out to halt the damage being done to water bodies and the environment. The paper expresses concern about the unfortunate death of the illegal miner and wished no death occured. The Times therefore appeals to the Task Force to exercise caution even in the face of provocation so that no life is lost again.

The Today News Paper which also writes on the  fight against illegal mining encourages government not relent in it efforts towards eliminating the menace. The paper is confident that President Akufo-Addo's determination to win the war against galamsey will be successful especially as he as put his presidency on the line and with the swift operations of the anti-galamsey, taskforce, code named operations vanguard. Not with standing this, the Graphic  reminds the vanguard  team to be professional in the execution of their mandate so as not to turn the campaign in to a guerrila warfare of needless blood shed.
