Court jails Pastor, one other for fraud An Accra Circuit Court presided over by M. E. Essandoh has jailed a self-styled Pastor and a resident of Oyarifa two years in prison. The convict was found guilty of fraudulently selling a parcel of land worth GH¢80,000.00 to one Beatrice Nkansah. The prosecutor said the convict sold the land to one Patrick Kuntor, the complainant, in the year 1999 who has certificate of registration from the Lands Commission. However, in the year 2015, the convict resold the land to Beatrice Nkansah. The complainant in 2016 met Beatrice on the land which she had started developing. The matter was reported to the police and the parties involved tried to use dialogue to settle the case. The convict using a hospital report as an excuse of being sick failed on countless times to avail himself to resolve the issue. It was during one of the police invitations that Beatrice told the police it was the convict who sold the land to her. The Court ruled that Patrick Kuntor should take back the land while the convict pays him thirty thousand Ghana cedis as compensation. The convict was fined an additional three thousand Ghana cedis.
