Gas Tanker Drivers threaten demo over cylinder circulation program The decision by the National Petroleum Authority to implement a Cylinder Recirculation Module, a policy which will ensure that gas cylinders are not sent to the stations for refilling, has come under attack by some Gas Tanker Drivers. At a recent news conference, members threatened to hit the streets if government fails to withdraw the policy. Meanwhile, Executive Director of the Kumasi Institute of Technology and Environment, KITE, Ishmael Edzekumhene said the policy, which according to the NPA, is to cut fires at gas filling stations might not necessarily stop the explosions that have lately been seen at the stations.
