The two dailies write on the National Towing Levy which has generated much controversy.

The Daily Graphic says the move to remove all disabled vehicles of the road is commendable and must be enforced. According to the paper, the national towing levy is very necessary since it will deepen the consultancy process for beneficiaries to be included in the National Towing Action Plan. The Graphic appeals to stakeholders to resume engagements until the deficiencies if any in the project are identified and removed.

The Ghanaian Times for its part urges Ghanaians not to alter the purpose of the Levy. The  paper says Ghanaians  should be cautious and not lose focus on the real reason for the implementation of the levy. The Times calls for calm  and for people to  set aside their  differences for the successful implementation of the levy to prevent it from being suspended  again as it was earlier last month. To the paper, this is the only opportunity to start a comprehensive effort to keeping the roads safe. 

The Daily Heritage is glad that the Auditor-General, Daniel Domelevo has outlined measures to deal with individuals who loot State funds. It says the culprits will now face the rigours of the law compared to the past when reports of the Auditor-General are disregarded. The Heritage commends Mr  Domelevo for the bold move to  recover State funds.
