28th July, 2017 The Daily Graphic is appalled by the devastation caused to public and private properties as a result of the ineptitude of public officials who are paid with the taxpayers money. The Paper says the rains have exposed the poor infrastructure in the country. It does not understand why the rains will bring severe damage to roads, some of which were constructed not long ago. This, the paper says is as a result of poor supervision of contractors by the awarding authorities. The Graphic therefore calls on sector ministers to crack the whip to ensure that the right things are done by contractors to save the nation. The Daily Heritage thinks the establishement of a hospital for the prisons service will ease efficient health care delivery to the inmates and personnel of the service. It says the lack of health facilities has led to the demise of many prisoners who could have been saved if the service had decents posts and a hospital to attend to emergency. In this regard, the Daily Heritage backs calls by the Prisons Council for the establishment of a hospital for the service. GBCONLINE
