Government Has So Far spent GH¢2.26 million On Ghana @60 Activities


Despite the announcement that Ghana @60 celebration will be financed from Corporate Ghana, Government has so far spent Five-point-26 Million Ghana Cedis on the celebration. 

Three-point-One Million Ghana Cedis was sourced from Government’s coffers while Two-point-16 Million Ghana Cedis was appropriated from the District Assembly Common Fund. 

Deputy Minister of Finance Kwaku Kwarteng stated this on the Floor of Parliament on Friday, when he was quizzed by the member for Juaboso, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh on how much the nation spent so far on the 60th Independence Anniversary Celebration.
