Sydney Casely-Hayford To Be Dragged Before Parliament For Alleged Distasteful Comment A Social Commentator and Member of Occupy Ghana Sydney Casely-Hayford is likely to be dragged before the Leadership of Parliament to answer questions on his alleged distasteful comment against Parliament. Mr. Casely-Hayford is reported to have said in a report on Ghanaweb that members of Parliament have been taken stupid decisions and passing stupid laws, adding that if he had the opportunity the first thing he will do is to break down Parliament. The lawmakers consider his comment an attack on them and it puts Parliament in bad light. The MP for Kumbugu Ras Mubarak raised the issue on the Floor of the House and said the comments are offensive and Sydney Casely-Hayford must be cited for contempt. The First Deputy Speaker Joseph Osei Owusu referred the matter to the Leadership of the House to work on and report back to the House for the necessary action to be taken. GBC
