Nyomoase: Torrential rain renders over 200 people homeless Torrential rains in Nyomoase in the Atebubu-Amanten District of Brong-Ahafo Region have rendered more than 200 hundred people homeless. Residents of the town which is situated between two rivers, River Apoi and River Akwasi Kruka, had their personal belongings, money and domestic animals washed away by the rainwater. Speaking to the GNA, the Nyomoase Zonal Coordinator of the NADMO, Akwasi Magellan, said residents have been suffering similar disasters since 2012. He said a formal complaint has been made to government through the District Assembly for the expansion of bridges and gutters. This is to ensure the free flow of rain water. Mr Magellan said though no deaths were recorded, if nothing is done immediately, something worse could happen. GNA
