Abuse of pain killer Tramadol escalates among youth in Brong Ahafo Region

The Brong-Ahafo Regional Director of Food and Drugs Authority, Matthew Gyan Nkum, has cautioned the  public to desist from buying drugs from unauthorized persons. 

He says pharmacists should also avoid selling medicines to the public without prescriptions. 

Speaking with the GBC in Sunyani, Mr Gyan-Nkum warned that drug abuse can have a long term effect on a person's health.
 
He spoke specifically on the excessive intake of pain medication, Tramadol among the youth in the Brong-Ahafo Region.
