Invasion of fall army worms under control The Director of Crops of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Asante Krobea, says the fight against the fall army worm invasion which affected crops in some parts of the Ashanti, Brong-Ahafo and the Northern regions has been successful. He said periodic spraying of the affected farms and the adoption of recommended practices for farmers during the sensitisation exercise have yielded positive results. Mr Krobea emphasised that the menace will no longer spread to other farms and production will not be affected. Mr Asante Krobea said assessments of affected farms are still ongoing and a decision on compensation will be finalised after the assessment. GBCONLINE
