President Akufo-Addo arrives from AU Summit

President Akufo-Addo is back in Accra. His plane touched down Tuesday night after attending the 29th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union in Addis Ababa. 

The President was received at the Jubilee Lounge of the Kotoka International Airport by the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. 

While in Ethiopia, the President attended a meeting of Heads of State under the theme "Harnessing the Demographic Dividend through investments in the youth". 

The meeting tackled the implementation of continental free trade area and reforms of the continental body. 

The Director of Communication at the Presidency, Mr. Eugene Arhin said the President was also recognised as AU Gender Champion for 2017.
