President Akufo-Addo lauded for banning gov`t officials from buying official vehicles

The Founder of the United Renaissance Party, Kofi Wayo has also congratulated President Akufo-Addo on placing a ban on public officers and Ministers of State from buying official vehicles. 

Mr Wayo told Radio Ghana that he supports the President's decision because Ghana needs money to invest in other sectors of the economy. 

He said such savings could also be used to create pension schemes for farmers and market women. 

Meanwhile governance Expert, Professor Baffour Agyeman Dua has applauded President Akufo Addo for his decision to stop public officers from buying official vehicles after their tenure of office. 

He told Radio Ghana that for this policy to work, the President must go to Parliament for a law to be enacted to back the decision.
