93 year old Zimbabwean president, Robert Mugabe says he won’t quit politics anytime soon

Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe says he is not in a hurry to choose his successor, indicating that he is not quitting politics any time soon.

Speaking during a lavish ceremony to mark his 93rd birthday, President Mugabe said if the ZANU-PF party felt he should retire, it would hold an extraordinary congress to choose a new leader; otherwise he will continue to lead his country.
 
President Mugabe indicated earlier in an interview with National TV that the foreigners have no say in the activities of his party and country.

Meanwhile more than thirty tonnes of school books meant for distribution to schools in Zimbabwe are at a Border Post in Zimbabwe because the state revenue authority is demanding tax of about 40 per cent of the total books value.

It is unclear if the books have been released yet. 

The books are destined for 11 schools in Bulawayo, closer to where President Robert Mugabe held his birthday party.
