Gambia swears in Adama barrow as President again 

The Gambia has sworn in its new President, Adama Barrow, in front of a crowd of thousands at the main stadium in the capital Banjul. 

The event which coincides with the country's 52nd independence anniversary is the second time Mr. Barrow has taken the oath. 

The first time was at very low-key event at the country's embassy in Senegal's capital Dakar. This followed a reluctant departure of his predecessor, Yahya Jammeh. Mr Jammeh left office in January, after losing the presidential election and being threatened with regional intervention. 

Scores of people queued through the night to get a good spot inside the stadium to witness the program.
