President Akufo-Addo Charges Ministers To Project Values And Policies In Regions President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has asked his ministers to project his vision, values and policies in their respective regions. Speaking at swearing in ceremony for ten regional ministerial nominees approved by Ghana's Parliament, the President stated that his resolve is to provide good honest government which will enable the economy to recover thereby creating jobs for the youth. President Akufo-Addo again charged his Ministers to be humble adding that their success hinges on the quality of the relations with the people they work with. The ten Regional Ministers include Sulemana Alhassan, Upper West Region, Kwamena Duncan, Central Region, Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, Western Region, Dr. Kwakye Darfour, Eastern Region and Rockson Bukari, for the Upper East Region. The others are; Simon Osei-Mensah, Ashanti Region, Ishmael Ashitey, Greater Accra Region, Salifu Saeed, Northern Region, Kweku Asomah-Cheremeh, Brong Ahafo Region and Dr. Archibald Letsa, Volta Region. They took the oaths of allegiance, Minister and secrecy. The President l presented to them the instrument of appointment and later signed the book of oath of ministers.. President Akufo-Addo reminded the appointees of the solemn pledge the party has made to Ghanaians to protect the public pulse in every transaction they conduct. He directed the regional ministers to join other colleague ministers in declaring their assets within 14 days of their appointment to the Auditor General. He noted that, the Regional Ministers are his eyes and years in their regions and asked them to live up that standard. Voice President Akufo-Addo was again grateful to the Speaker and members of parliament for the speedy nature in which the nominees were vetted. He said it is a good demonstration of the spirit of cooperation between the legislature and the executive. On behalf of the Regional Ministers, the Western Regional Minister, Dr. Kwaku Afriyie thanked the President for the opportunity given them to serve. They promised not to let the President down. GBC
