Ghana, Morocco Sign MOUs In Key Sectors of Economy   

Ghana and Morocco have signed MOUs in the areas of Energy, Trade, Agriculture, Education and Foreign Affairs. 

Twenty other MOU's were also signed between a business delegation from Morocco and their Ghanaians counterparts.

These agreements were announced during bilateral talks between President Akufo-Addo and the Moroccan King Mohammed at the Flagstaff House. 

The Moroccan King is on a three day state visit to Ghana. He inspected a Guard of honour mounted by the Ghana Air force. 

President Akufo-Addo decorated King Mohammed with State Honour, the Companion of the Order of the Star of Ghana. 

In a citation, President Akufo-Addo said the long standing relations between Ghana and Morocco have deepened since his ascension to the throne. 

President Akufo-Addo and King Mohammed later moved into a meeting of government officials and business groups of both countries. 

Twenty-five (25) MOUs were signed between Ghana and Morocco and the business community. 

The President of the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Nana Appiagyei Dankawoso briefed the delegation on the meeting held between the two business groups.

His Moroccan counterpart, Miriem Bensaleh Chaqroun presented her side of the report to the meeting.

King Mohammed is expected to depart tomorrow (Saturday, Feb. 18).
