Central Region Minister designate denies allegations that he said former President Mahama spent recklessly on projects The Minister designate for the Central Region Kwamena Duncan has denied allegations leveled against him that he said former President Mahama was spending recklessly on projects undertaken by his administration. Answering questions from the ranking member of the vetting committee Harruna Iddrisu, when he appeared before the committee yesterday on whether he regretted using such words on the former President, he said he was misinterpreted because the programme he was quoted to have made the comments on, was a Twi programme hence he could not have used the words reckless in Twi. On the issue of job creation in the Central Region, the minister designate said if a factory is built in the region through the one district one factory programme it could produce juice for the three Universities and the about ninety-three Senior High Schools in the region and create more jobs for the youth.
