Guinea bans beauty pageants after skimpy outfits cause outrage

Guinea's government has temporarily banned beauty pageants after the skimpy outfits in the swimwear section caused outrage.
 
The competitors paraded in front of the Prime Minister Mamady Youla in bikinis during the event on Saturday, attracting severe criticism on social media, as a shame to Guinean culture.
 
The Culture Minister Siaka Barry, says the ban will continue to be in place until a new code of ethics is drawn up, adding that government has ended its contract with organisers of the beauty pageant.
