UNAIDS Director Challenges Ghana To Step Up HIV/AIDS Fight The Executive Director of the UNAIDS, Michael Sidibe has challenged Ghana to do more to fight HIV and AIDS in the country. According to him, the vision of UNAIDS to eliminate it by 2030 is achievable hence all governments must endeavour to make good use of funds given to them to fight the disease and also improve health care in the Sub-region. He said this when he paid a courtesy call on President Akufo-Addo at the Flagstaff House in Accra. In a response President Akufo-Addo said his government is committed to reducing the spread of the disease in Ghana. To this end, he has charged the Health Minister to commit more funding to fight the disease in the country. GBC
