GBC Can Improve With Financial Support- Director General, Dr. Anoff-Ntow The Director General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, Dr. Kwame Akuffo Anoff-Ntow says, with enough financial support from government, GBC will be able to complete most of its projects to help boost its coverage and operations. Speaking to Radio Ghana on the sidelines of the vetting of Information Minister designate, Mustapha Hamid, Dr. Anoff-Ntow promised the Corporation's commitment to work closely with the Information Ministry to advance the course of GBC and the nation as a whole. The Informational Minister designate, Mustapha Hamid had hinted that his Ministry would collaborate with GBC to enable it to raise its own funds through the revamping of the ongoing TV license. This is to make GBC financially independent like BBC. Mr. Mustapha Hamid stated this in response to the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu's question on his commitment to improving quality of pictures in some parts of the country including Bole and Ho by the state broadcaster. The Information Minister-designate said his last meeting with the Director General of GBC, Dr. Kwame Akuffo Anoff- Ntow, revealed the GBC started a modernisation program in 2007 which is being implemented, adding that when the program is fully implemented, TV signals and picture quality will improve.
