The Daily Graphic finds the explanation by the ECG that the current power crisis is not load shedding as outrageous. This is because some parts of Accra have been experiencing unannounced power outages for more than ten to twelve hours. This, the Graphic thinks infringes on the rights of consumers who pay huge sums for power. The paper urges the ECG to do all it can to fix the challenge that has resulted in unplanned power outages so that customers can enjoy interrupted power supply. 

The Ghanaian Times supports parliament in its effort to pass the Right to Information Bill under a certificate of urgency because the bill is long overdue. The paper says the seventeen year old bill should no longer delay and it passage will come as welcoming news. The Times expresses gratitude to parliament saying the bill when passed into law will go a long way to ensure accountability in governance in the country. The paper however hopes that the process leading to the passage will be less acrimonious and nonpartisan.
