Volta Region: President Mahama campaigns in Hohoe President John Mahama was given a heroic welcome to the Hohoe municipality on the third day of his campaign tour of the Volta region. The Paramount Chief of Alavanyo, Togbega Dedza Atakora in a welcome address acknowledged the contribution of the President to the peace of the town. He indeed linked the relative peace to the many development projects that they have benefited from. He thanked the President for the progress of work on the Eastern Corridor road and other notable projects the town is benefiting from. Chiefs of the nine Paramountcies made a joint presentation that consisted of Beads and other gifts to the President in appreciation for the good work. Meanwhile, President Mahama has stated that one major assignment that he is proud to have executed was to bring peace to the people of Hohoe and its environs. He said it is an indisputable fact that development thrives only in an atmosphere of peace urging the people to continue to maintain the peace. As a predominantly farming community President Mahama, told them of plans to step up Agriculture production by encouraging the growing of other crops aside from cocoa which the country has comparative advantage. President Mahama introduced the Parliamentary Candidate for the Hohoe Constituency Bernice Heloo to the people. President Mahama will Thursday be a guest on GBC's Volta Star Radio in Ho.
