Security analyst reacts to Aisha Buhari's comments

An International Relations and Security Expert, Irbard Ibrahim, says comments by the Nigerian first lady are nothing extraordinary.

He said it was to be expected because she was only trumpeting the pent up feelings of some party faithful.
 
Mr. Ibrahim was of the view that the APC came to power through a coalition, therefore, it will take time for President Buhari to smoothen the rough edges and ensure appointees from the other parties execute the agenda of the APC.

The First Lady, Aisha warned her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari that she may not back him at the 2019 election unless he shakes up his government. Aisha in an interview with the BBC said, “The president does not know 45 out of 50, for example, of the people he appointed and I don’t know them either, despite being his wife of 27 years.”
