NCCE survey to guide decision of voters

The Head of Research, Gender and Equality Department of the National Commission for Civic Education, NCCE, Tito Voegborlo says the key major issues of Health, Education and Employment raised by the Ghanaian Voter in the recent survey conducted by the Commission may guide the decision of voters going into the December elections.

He said 89.7 percent of correspondents said they are going to vote in the Presidential elections because the issues raised are of priority to them. 

The other 4.3 percent said they will not vote because past governments have disappointed them.

A lecturer at the University of Ghana, Dr Justice Bawale noted that the study by the NCCE is crucial to help politicians understand what the electorate look out for.

For his part, the Deputy Director of Communications of the Electoral Commission, Yussif Ayuba said the EC will not relent on its oars because of the over 60 percent vote of confidence to conduct free, fair and credible elections by the public.

He noted that the public's understanding of the EC's operations and activities will reduce the level of frustration and enhance trust in the commission.
