Ghana: Streetlights

Observations are that street lights in parts of the country keep collapsing down either by virtue of vehicular accidents or natural disasters.  There are times these street lights are left on during the day and rather put off at night. Who is responsible for these street lights. The PRO of Ministry of Roads and Highways, Prince Boakye, explains the procedure and management of the street lights. He said once the construction is handed over to the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies it becomes their responsibility to maintain them.
