Daily Graphic advocates increase in cocoa production. The paper recounts the ups and downs in the sector but expresses optimism that with the right and appropriate inputs, much can be attained. The paper maintains that since the introduction of cocoa in Ghana in the late 19th century, its production has undergone a series of expansion and contraction and calls for efficient management of the sector to bring in more revenue. The paper in the light of this welcomes the increase in cocoa price to climax the celebration of World Cocoa Day. It appeals to COCOBOD and its partners to put in more effort to improve production to meet international standards. 

The Ghanaian Times urges election stakeholders especially security officials to prevent ballot box snatching. The paper says the unfortunate practice continues to be part of Ghana's election. It says often elections are disrupted when losing candidates hire the services of macho men to mar the process. The Times commends the Asesewa District Police, Superintendent Stephen Kofi Ahiatafu for sending warning signals to individuals or groups of persons who may attempt to snatch ballot boxes this year. The paper says the warning is timely and calls on all political parties to adhere to it to ensure a violence and incident free elections.
