Election 2016: A.M.E Zion Church holds peace concert 

As Ghanaians gear up for the December 7 elections, organised groups and individuals have been using every available platform to stress the need for peaceful polls. 
 
In their bid to contribute to the national effort for all citizens to respect the electoral process, members of the Accra Central District of the A.M.E Zion Church have held a peace concert in Accra. 

During the programme, the Kotobabi District Police Commander, Superintendent Alexander Amenyah urged Ghanaians to abide by the guidelines for conducting peaceful polls.
 
He said the Police will not entertain anyone who attempts to undermine the electoral process before or during the elections.

Superintendent Amenyah particularly called on the youth to guard against people who may want to exploit their youthful exuberance for election related violence. 

The Presiding Elder of the Accra Central District of the A.M.E Zion Church, Rev. Felix Dodor said electoral violence in other countries has rolled back their development agenda. 

This he noted should constantly remind Ghanaians to cherish the prevailing peace and avoid any acts that can erode the gains made since Ghana returned to constitutional rule in 1993.
