Roads destroyed by floods in Upper East to be rehabilitated 

Roads in the Upper East region that were severely destroyed by floods two months ago are to be rehabilitated soon.

Already a proposal to this effect has been sent to the Ministry of Roads and Highways. 

In July, torrential rains destroyed feeder roads in the Bongo,Builsa North Bolga and other surrounding communities rendering them unmotorable and affecting economic activities and effective healthcare delivery.

According to residents road accidents have increased due to the deplorable state of the roads.

In an interview with the Upper East Regional manager of Feeder Roads, Elorm Nyouagbe, he said the procurement process for routine maintenance on two thousand kilometers of   feeder roads has been completed.
