Maiden Ama Ata Aidoo Short Story Writing Awards held

The maiden edition of a short story writing awards has been held in Accra.

The awards was organised by the Centre for African Studies, of the University of Ghana, in honour of a renowned Ghanaian novelist, Ama Ata Aidoo.

The winner of this competition was awarded a laptop and airtime on a radio station and the two runners up  each received a tablet.

Ama Ata Aidoo, an author, poet, playwright and academician has popular works such as ‘The Dilemma of a Ghost’, ‘Anowa’ and ‘No Sweetness Here'.
