President Mahama to inaugurate Library in memory of Late President Atta MIlls

President John Dramani Mahama is expected to inaugurate the 'John Evans Atta Mills Memorial Library” at the Chapel Square in Cape Coast today in memory of the late President.   

Professor Mills served as President of Ghana from 2009 to 2012.  

He is the first Ghanaian head of state to die in office 24thJuly, 2012, a day described as a dark day in Ghana.  

The commemoration is under the auspices of the University of Cape Coast, the John Evans Atta Mills Centre for Law and Governance, GIMPA and the Planning Committee under the auspices of the Government of Ghana.  

Later in the day there will be the 4th John Evans Atta Mills Commemorative Lecture on the theme "Atta Mills the Servant Leader". 

It will be delivered by a Former President of Malawi, Joyce Banda at the UCC Main Auditorium.
