Malaria deaths reduce by half - National Malaria Control Programme The National Malaria Control Programme, NMCP, says the number of deaths caused by malaria has reduced from about four thousand in 2010 to a little more than two thousand in 2015. The Programme Manager, Dr. Constance Bart-Plange said the achievement became possible because of the interventions adopted by the NMCP over the period. Dr. Bart Plange announced this at a media briefing in Accra to herald World Malaria Day, which falls on Monday, the 25th of this month. The theme for the day is, 'End Malaria for Good; Invest in Malaria'.
