35,000 ghost names expunged from NSS payroll

Thirty-five thousand ghost names have been expunged from the payroll of the National Service Scheme.

The scheme together with the security agencies and other relevant agencies are also working to eliminate those with multiple registrations on its database. 

The Minister of Education, Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang who stated this in Accra at a ceremony  to present 18 new vehicles to the secretariat said government is committed to the fight against corruption and the necessary measures are being taken to tackle the canker head-on.
