Law lecturer calls for people oriented governance

A lecturer at the Law faculty ,University of Ghana Dr. Raymond Atuguba, has stressed the need for Ghanaians to shift their focus to people oriented governance. 

According to him the fundamentals of the economy will change for the better if economic governance, spearheaded by independent and well resourced state institutions is given the desired attention. 

Speaking at the 1st International Social Sciences Conference at the University of Ghana, Dr. Atuguba said if institutions are working, it does not matter who occupies the seat at the presidency, things will work. 

He called on all to develop interest in how institutions, both private and public are governed just as it is done to political office holders.
