Korle Bu Stroke Unit Receives Crucial Equipment Boost

The Oklahoma Ghanaian Community in the US has donated medical equipment worth more than ¢300,000 to the Stroke Unit of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.  

This is the second time the group has supported the unit with medical equipment.  

The Head of the Department of Medicine, Professor Margaret Lartey said the items will help improve healthcare services.  

She said currently, the unit is performing only at 50 percent capacity due to inadequate funding and staffing.
