Preparations far advanced for Ghana’s 59th Independence Day celebration

Preparations are far advanced for the celebration of Ghana’s 59th Independence Day, which falls on a Sunday. 

Most Christians would as usual want to go to Church.  

Radio Ghana finds out from a Presidential Staffer in charge of state ceremonies, Commodore Steve Obimpeh, whether the day would be marked with the usual march past or it would be rescheduled.  

Commodore Obimpeh said the day would be celebrated as such. 

He said this is not the first time 6th March would be celebrated on a Sunday therefore Ghanaians should endeavour to patronize the day across the country.
