Zoomlion not happy with filth after Blissful night It was an unpleasant scene at the Black Star Square last Friday, after the night of bliss crusade by Pastor Chris of the Christ Embassy Church. The entire Independence square was filled with filth ranging from empty sachet water, bottles and banana peels as well as disposable packs. When Radio Ghana visited the square major routes to the independence square were littered with all kinds of plastic waste. Speaking to Radio Ghana’s Edith Eshun, the Accra General Manager of Zoomlion, Gerrshon Sogbey said the manner with which Ghanaians continue to litter the environment is worrying saying the Company is still battling with the attitudes of Ghanaians towards the environment despite the numerous education. He said although the Company placed litter bins at vantage places, people who attended the programme didn’t see it necessary to place the waste products into the bin. Mr. Sogbey stressed that more education needs to go into educating Ghanaians on keeping a healthy environment explaining that such acts negatively affects all irrespective of whom you are. Mr. Sogbey who expressed disappointment at the volume of refuse created entreated event organizers to always collaborate with Zoomlion in time of such events. GBC
