Ivor Greenstreet Denies Allegation Of Vote Buying During National Delegates Congress

The CPP Presidential Candidate for 2016, Ivor Greenstreet has debunked allegations of vote buying levelled against him by some members of his party. 

He said the delegates voted massively for him because they have confidence in him. 

More so, he won a fair contest and did most of his campaign on the quiet, and not ride on media hype. 

Mr Greenstreet said he is humbled and elated as the party`s new flagbearer. 

On his ambition to turn the CPP around, Mr Greenstreet conceded that the party’s political fortunes have dwindled over the years. 

He intends to galvanize the grassroot and reach out to undecided voters, as well as work on winning some identified seats. 

Mr Greenstreet told Radio Ghana that politics is about numbers, therefore he has instituted a mechanism to approach and convince disgruntled members to come back to support the party to victory. 

Commenting on the CPP/PNC merger talks, Mr Greenstreet said he will meet with the party’s hierarchy to discuss the way forward. 

According to him, the idea has not been discarded.
