PSI pushes for insurance for Ebola frontline workers Public Services International, PSI, a global trade Union Federation has called for proper training and insurance for frontline health workers who attend to Ebola patients. The insurance should also cover families of health care givers even after they have passed on. The Regional Secretary of the PSI, David, Dorkenoo, made the call at an Ebola conference in Accra. It is aimed at drawing governments across the sub-region’s attention to challenges faced by health care givers in an outbreak of Ebola. Mr. Dorkenoo said Ghana must prepare adequately not by word of mouth but by enough allocation of resources so that health care givers would not suffer as their counterparts in the sub-region, should Ebola break out in Ghana.
