‘Cocaine woman’ pleads guilty in UK Court 

The woman at the centre of the raging cocaine scandal has pleaded guilty to the charge of trafficking and illegally possessing cocaine. 

Nayele Ametefeh also known as Ruby Appiah, told a London court today she was guilty of the offence and would be sentenced on her own plea.

The case has been adjourned to January 5, next year. 

According to media report, the suspect in her light green apparel addressed the judge via a video conference facility from prison where she is currently languishing.

The court refrained from stating the exact amount of the substance due to ongoing forensic analysis. 

Media reports have pegged the quantity at 12.5 kilograms but the prosecution suspects it could be more or less and that could affect the actual sentence.

The judge agreed with the prosecution and adjourned hearing to January 5. The judgement is expected to be given in 30 minutes.
