Minority requests bipartisan investigations into cocaine saga

The Minority Caucus in Parliament has asked Government to immediately lay before Parliament, the Draft Bill prepared in 2008 geared towards turning the Narcotic Control Board, NACOB, into a Commission. 

This is to broaden the mandate of the Board and position it to better address issues of Narcotics in the country. 

The Caucus was not enthused about government‘s handling of the recent Cocaine saga involving Nayele Ametefe that rocked the Country. 

The Minority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu echoed the sentiments of the Caucus at a News Conference in Parliament on Wednesday. 

The Minority MPs are also calling on Parliament to set up a bipartisan Parliamentary Committee to investigate what they termed the Nayele Ametefe Cocaine haemorrhage.
