NDC postpones National Delegates Congress to 20th December

The National Democratic Congress has postponed the date of its national delegates’ congress again from 13 to 20th December.

The party opened nominations last week after a case against the party by a member, Linus Njonola was withdrawn from court.

The 20th December election is seen as crucial for the party.

Political analysts and some party stalwarts including former President Rawlings have said despite winning the two previous elections, the party will struggle to win the 2016 presidential elections due to poor fiscal management of the economy and corruption scandals.

According to the National Organiser of the party, Yaw Boateng Gyan, the postponement is due to the inability of the party to find accommodation for delegates, as many second cycle institutions will still be in school.
