The Daily Graphic commends government for taking steps to reap the best from the country's oil. According to the paper, the country has a duty to prove skeptics wrong that oil has always been a curse rather than a blessing in most developing countries. The paper calls for citizen activism that will compel government to put in place pragmatic policies that will enable the country to reap more returns from the oil and gas heritage. It urges stakeholders in the power sector to fall back on their rich experiences to reduce the effects of the power outages in the country. 

The Today Newspaper says there is the need to include more women in the political discourse. According to the paper, most women think the Ghanaian media landscape is intimidating and tough, and do not find it imperative to use the platform to champion particularly women issues that will inure to the benefit of the country. It says there is the need to train and build the capacity of women especially those in the political parties. The paper urges political parties to be involved in sensitisation programmes to groom young ones who are interested in politics.
