Tano South In Brong Ahafo Tops District League Table

Tano South District in the Brong Ahafo Region has emerged as the best performing district in a District League Table compiled by CDD-Ghana in collaboration with UNICEF.

The table seeks to rank the 216 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies by measuring their level of development vis-a-vis social accountability and service delivery.

Tano South scored the highest mark of 76 percent while Karaga District in the Northern Region managed to get only 15 percent to place last.

The Head of Research at CDD-Ghana, Dr Franklin Oduro explains the rationale behind the league table.

The Chief of Policy at UNICEF, Sarah Hague, has also been speaking about the District League Table.

She said the report should lead to a basic discussion on why some major cities are not performing as expected.
