Court jails labourer 7-years

An Accra Circuit Court has sentenced Oku Ebenezer, labourer to seven years imprisonment for defiling a 13 years old pupil. 

Last June, the victim was sent on an errand and on her way, Oku called her and asked her to enter his room. 

After entering the room, the convict forcibly defiled her and warned her not to tell anyone.

After sometime, the victim's mother noticed that the girl was pregnant and when she was questioned, she mentioned Oku as the one responsible.

The convicted also pleaded guilty with explanation to defilement.
