EOCO to Eject Retired Staff Occupying of Defunct Agric Research Station Quarters in V/R The Economic and Organised Crime Office, EOCO is to eject retired personnel of the erstwhile Kpeve Agriculture Research Station occupying residential quarters in the area. Executive Director of EOCO, Mortey-Akpadi, dropped the hint at a durbar to climax the Zendo Glimetoza at Tsibu. He was responding to a request to that effect by the Paramount Chief of Tsibu Traditional Area, Togbe Adzadi Akpaku on behalf of the Zendo Union, which comprises Kpeve, Klefe, Klikor Tsibu and Tsorxor traditional areas. Togbe Akpaku, on behalf of the Union, expressed gratitude to government for listening and acting on its request in 2013 to revamp the once viable Kpeve Agriculture Research Station, which had ran down over the years. He requested that the South-Dayi District Assembly be given the authority to eject some retired staff of the station still occupying quarters there. Meanwhile the Zendo Union has conferred the “Most Distinguished Honour” on the Executive Director of EOCO, Mortey-Akpadzi, in recognition of his contributions to the development of Tsibu. A citation presented to him indicated that Mr Mortey-Akpadzi facilitated the construction of a doctor’s bungalow to serve the community clinic. He was also instrumental in getting some abandoned structures remodeled into a teachers' and head-teachers’ quarters in the community. GBC
