TUC says 2015 budget is ‘replica’ of IMF-sponsored policies

The TUC has described the 2015 budget presented by the Minister of Finance Seth Terkper as a replica of the IMF-sponsored policies that brought the economy almost to the brink. 

In statement signed by the Acting Secretary General, Dr Yaw Baah, the TUC said given the challenges the economy has faced in the current fiscal year, it expected the 2015 Budget to be radically different and fully reflect the Senchi Consensus as basis for economic transformation. 

However, government policies as contained in the budget have remained stealthily unchanged and are a blueprint of the IMF-sponsored policies of the last 30 years.
