Vice President Amissah-Arthur discusses with MMDCEs job creation and public accountability Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur Thursday morning engaged Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives to a conference at GIMPA. A minute's silence was observed in memory of the slain DCE for Nkwanta South, Peter Kenyensu. The two day conference will look at small and medium scale enterprises and job creation at the local level and financial stewardship and public accountability. The Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Julius Debrah, will lead the MMDCEs in implementing the national sanitation day with a focus on lessons learnt from the first exercise and strategies for the subsequent ones. Former sector Minister and senior Lecturer at GIMPA, Prof Kwamena Ahwoi, will guide the MMDCEs through the draft national sanitation day bye-law. District Ebola responsiveness strategies and service delivery standards and performance management systems for Ministries Department and Agencies as well as the Regional Co-ordinating Councils will also be discussed.
